Thank you for taking the time to recognize excellence in research and innovation in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology (LMP) at the University of Toronto.

The Richard G. Hegele Award for Excellence in Research and Innovation is an annual award presented to a faculty member in the Department of LMP, in recognition of original research, invention, or creative professional activity that improves our understanding of mechanisms of disease or advances clinical practice relevant to the discipline. It's open to both the life sciences an clinical streams.

Please write in clear non-specialist language for an interdisciplinary selection committee evaluating nominations that may involve fields outside of their disciplinary expertise.

The awardee is selected by the LMP Vice Chairs Council through nominations from LMP faculty and students.

Nomination information is confidential. Only the LMP Vice Chairs Council members will have access to your submission.
